MISSION MONTH REFLECTION: MISSION IS NOT A SEASON, IT IS OUR LIFE WITH HIM

As Mission Month draws to a close, we pause to give thanks.

We thank God for the messages we have received - reminders of His heartbeat for the nations, for the lost, and for His church. Each sermon, each sharing, each testimony has been more than just words - it has been the voice of our Heavenly Father, urging us to draw near to Him, to follow Christ more closely, and to join Him in His mission to the world.

We thank God also for the messengers He has sent to us. Pastors, missionaries, and fellow brothers and sisters - each spoke from their lives, not just their lips. They have shown us what it looks like to live life surrendered to Christ. Through their witness, God has stirred our hearts to see that mission is not a task for the few, but the calling of every disciple.

As we reflect, we see that this has never been about “our mission.” It is God’s mission. Our Heavenly Father sent His Son, Jesus Christ, into the world-full of grace and truth (John 1:14). And He sends us, His church, empowered by the Spirit, to love, to serve, and to proclaim the Gospel.

And so, we are grateful. Grateful that God never stops pursuing us. Grateful that He transforms us as we follow Him. Grateful that He allows us, in all our weakness, to join Him in His redeeming work.

Mission Month may end, but the mission continues. Let us keep spurring one another on. Let us keep being transformed by the Spirit. And let us keep living as His missional disciples - knowing God intimately, serving sacrificially, and showing grace wholeheartedly.

Because mission is not a season. It is our life with Him.

“Thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of Him everywhere.” (2 Corinthians 2:14)

Being His missional disciples,
