As CG Month comes to a close, let’s be honest: Rebuilding CG life is not easy. Sometimes momentum feels slow. Sometimes people are tired. Sometimes it feels like we’re starting all over again.
But here’s the good news: We are not rebuilding CG on our own strength. Christ is our Builder. He is our Anchor. He is our Rock. He is the centre of our lives—and He must be the centre of our CGs. When just two or three gather in His name, He is right there with us (Matthew 18:20). It’s not about how big the group is. It’s about whether Christ is present and exalted among us.
The call remains simple - but powerful:
· Reset – See CG again as vital because it draws us back to Christ.
· Recommit – Be present, responsive, and engaged - not just to each other, but to Christ Himself.
· Renew – Pray for Christ to breathe fresh life, fresh passion, and fresh unity into our community.
CG is not merely about building friendships. It’s about building lives on the solid Rock of Christ. It’s about helping one another stay anchored in Him when the storms of life come. As we take small faithful steps together, we can trust that Christ is the One who rebuilds, Christ is the One who holds us steady, and Christ is the One who brings the growth. Let’s keep our eyes on Him. One step at a time, with Christ at the centre, let’s reset, recommit and renew together.
This Sunday, we also mark a very special moment as a church - Commissioning Sunday. We’re sending out four short-term mission teams from June to July. These are not just “their” missions—they are our missions, as the body of Christ.
Even if you're not going, your CG can still be part of the mission:
· Pray for the teams by name during your CG meeting.
· Send them off—join them at the airport or message them with encouragement.
· Partner practically—ask the team leaders how your CG can help: meals, logistics, follow-up, or hosting.
Let’s not forget: every CG is called to be more than inward-looking. We are called to be salt and light—at home and to the nations. So as we reset, recommit, and renew, let’s also reach out—together. Faith grows best when we grow together.
Being His Missional Disciples,
Being His Missional Disciples
· Reflect: What is one step I can take this month to reset, recommit, or renew my involvement in CG?
· Pray: Pray for the mission trips and pray with your CG leader or a CG friend for a fresh work of God in your group.
