• The Church wishes all visitors, worshippers & members a very "Blessed New Year". Common Bible Study on 1 & 2 Peter and Planner / Calendar 2010 (Christmas Gifts) are available for all adults and youths. If you have not got yours last Sunday, please collect a copy after the service at the library counter. Join us for tea/coffee fellowship at the foyer.
• Eld & Mrs Heng (Ruby Tan) would like to thank the pastoral team, the elders and deacons and members of SAFE and the church for their moral & spiritual support as well as their contributions during the recent bereavement.
• We rejoice with Mr. Gareth New and Miss Kelly Zhang as they plan to get married on 2 January 2010; Saturday, 2.30pm at GPC Sanctuary. All are invited and requested to be seated by 2:15pm.
• We rejoice with Mr. Lionel Lum and Miss Pearl Tong as they plan to get married on 9 January 2010; Saturday, 10.30am at GPC Sanctuary. All are invited and requested to be seated by 10.15am.
• Withdrawal of Deaconship: Leong Peng Mun has decided to withdraw from Deaconship after much prayers for personal reasons. However he will continue to serve in ministries he is currently involved in.
• Forthcoming Combined Services & Events:
  • Glory Watch Nite: 31 Dec (Thurs), 930pm; Chapel.
  • Induction Service: 1 Jan 2010 (Fri), 10am; Sanctuary. All officer bearers will be inducted hence attendance is compulsory for all committee members of various ministries, choir members, all musicians and Sunday School teachers. Members are encouraged to attend.
  • New Year Sunday Combined Service (Sanctuary) Cum Sunday School Promotion Sunday (Chapel): 3 Jan 2010 (Sun), 730am.
    ** Please note that there will be ‘NO’ 930am & 1130am Services; ‘NO’Sunday School on 20 Dec &  3 Jan 2010 (Sunday Combined Services).
• Church Cleaning Day, 16 Jan 2010 (Saturday) from 2pm- 5pm. Let us come together to clean the Chapel and the Sunday School classrooms. Looking forward to a blessed time together. Mr. Wong Soon Chiu will organize the cleaning.(Please assemble at Chapel)
• A Church Wide Bible Study program is planned for year 2010. All members are encouraged to deepen their study in the Word of God by attending the Bible-Study program which begins with 6 sessions on the Book of Haggai, either Evening Class (every Wednesday nightl 8 - 930 pm) or Day Class (every Thursday morningl 9-1030 am) in January and February, at Chapel. (see details on page 6)
• Bible Reading Program: Starting January 2010, we will be re-launching the Bible Reading Program, to encourage members to read through the Bible through either a 90 days express program or a 365 days program. See page 7 for details. Fellowship Groups and Care Groups may want to consider this as group project. Registration opens at Library Counter!
• Christian Education (CE):
  • 2:7 Series Books 1 - "GROWING STRONG" (9:30am or 11:30am) This 11-Sunday basic Christian foundation course deals with Growing Strong in the family of God. It provides participants with useful practical skills to develop stronger relationship with God and better fellowship with fellow believers. This Growing Strong class is prerequisite for candidates planning to be baptised. This course will commence on 24 January 2010. Registration begins next Sunday (27/12/09).
  • A Brief Survey of the OT - Part 1 and Part 2. A 2-week class that aims to give an overview of the Old Testament. The class will look into the importance of the OT in the context of God's salvation plan for mankind. If you have always wanted a 'big picture' of the OT as a part of the Holy Bible, this is the class for you. Classes commence on 10 Jan 2010, 1130am - 1pm, led by Edr Poon MS and based on his published book entitled Missiological Survey of Old Testament - An Introductory Guide . Kindly register at the Library counter next Sunday (27/12/09).
  • (Precept Bible Study): Revelation Pt. 4.  Registration opens at library counter.
