Come and give thanks to God as we end another blessed year in our youth ministry. Dn. Robert Oh will encourage us from God's Word. This is a formal event. An eight-course buffet dinner will be served. Tickets are available at the youth booth after service at a subsidised rate of $5 per person. Attire: Long sleeves shirt & tie for guy. Dress / blouse & skirt for gal.

Deacon's Election Day
The ESC has designated 21st September 2003 as Deacon’s Election Day. The following persons have been nominated for the Deacon’ Election: Mr. Andrew Sabaratnam, Mr. Chung Hao Ning, Dr. Samuel Lim, Mr. Jimmy Wong and Dn. Wong Soon Chiu.

Please take note of the following guidelines for Deacons.
(i) He /She must not be a rebel. Rather this person must hold the highest respect for GOD, the SCRIPTURE and the CHURCH. (Titus 1: 7-10)
(ii) He /She must be presently involved in grassroots ministry and found to be trustworthy. (I Tim. 3: 6-10; I Peter 5: 2-3)
(iii) He / She must manage the family well. (I Tim 3: 4-5)
(iv) For a deacons, he / she must have been a communicant member of the church for at least 3 years.

Children's Sunday
Next Sunday (29 Sept 2003) is Children’s Sunday. Please take note of the following instructions:
(i) All Sunday School teachers and students (Pre-Nursery to Young Adult Bible Class) are required to wear the Sunday School T-shirt issued to them today. Pre-Nursery to K2 students will be given the Sunday School T-shirt next week.
(ii) K1 and K2 students are required to gather at the Sunday School Hall at 9.00am next week (28th September) to prepare for the special item they will perform at the 9.30 Service. Pre-Nursery and Nursery students can come as per normal at 9:30am.
(iii) P1 to P4 students are to report to the breakfast foyer no later than 7:30am next Sunday. They will be performing a special item at the 7:30 Service.

GPC YAF - "Why Don't I Understand You?"
Glory YAF presents this workshop on understanding people. It will be conducted over 2 Saturdays (14th & 21st June 03) from 3.00pm to 6.00pm. The speaker of this workshop is Rev. Eric Chua. Some of the material that will be covered includes personality profiles as well as seeing and understanding patterns in people’s behaviour.

Parents Day Dinner

The Church is organising a Parents Day Dinner on Mothers’ Day. For general glory church members, please register at the library counter. Please pay upon registration. "No Refund" policy applies, but we will accept replacement attendees. Registration closes 19 January 2003.

For Sunday School teachers and other office-bearers, please register through your superintendents / department heads (elders/deacons). Department Heads will collect regtistrant data and fee and submit to the Organising Committee by 19 January 2003.

New Year Combined Cum Sunday School Promotion Service
Sunday - 5 January 2003, 8.00 - 9.15 AM, Church Main Sanctuary
This will be a combined service. Sunday school teachers, students (from nursery to youth level) & parents are to take note that Sunday School Promotion Service will run concurrently with the Combined Service at the Chapel.

The Sunday School Promotion Service will dismiss at 9.45am. There will be a special service from 9.45am to 11.00am at the 9.30 Chapel for teachers and students who missed the earlier Combined Service at 8am.

Induction Service
Wednesday - 1 January 2003, 10.00 AM, Church Main Sanctuary
Attendance is compulsory for all the appointment holders - ESC members, Sunday School teachers & staff, Choir committees & members, BB & GB officers and committee members of all other ministries like CG leaders, librarians & fellowship leaders.

All members and worshippers are encouraged to attend this important service. Thereafter, there will be a Ground Breaking & Thanksgiving Service at Pei Hwa Presbyterian School @ 11.30 am.
